The purpose of the Orpheum STAR Council (Students Take A Role) is to provide students the opportunity to volunteer and gain a knowledge of the Orpheum Theatre and the Halloran Centre. Participants learn what it takes to operate these facilities while volunteering at various events throughout the academic year.
High school students, grades 9-12, are invited to apply. S.T.A.R. Council members help support the Saturday Series, engage in community projects, and serve as ambassadors for the Orpheum High School Musical Theatre Awards.

Though members can't volunteer at public events or meet in person at the present time, our STAR Council community is stronger than ever. Through online meetings, students are continuing to learn the ins and outs of the industry while helping with new virtual programs like In Their Shoes.
Applications for the 2020-2021 STAR Council will open as soon as possible. Sign up to receive an email when applications open by joining our email club and choosing "High School" from the grade-level options.
