In these unprecedented times, when we are unable to gather in person, we have had to put STAR Council on hold, in order to rethink and reimagine how we can continue to serve young people with an interest in theatre arts during this time.
For the spring of 2021, STAR Council will focus on using the arts to build community among students who share a passion for theatre. By creating a space for students to express how they are feeling and how they are navigating these challenging times we will build a supportive community and provide a space to promote collaboration and shared art making that connects us even though we may be physically separated.
Spring 2021 STAR council is open to ALL high school students with a passion for theatre in grades 9-12, and in this challenging time, all who wish to commit to participating are welcome without formal application. A completed enrollment form is necessary and commitment to participation is required. Committed participants are permitted a maximum of one conflict absence. If you are unable to meet this commitment, we ask that you wait until next year to consider joining us.
STAR Council will meet (initially in the virtual space, but potentially in person with social distancing if it becomes safe to do so) on the following dates from 1-3pm:
To participate in the Spring 2021 STAR Council, please have a parent or caregiver (if under 18) complete the enrollment form. Enrollment must be completed in full and is due by 5pm Friday, January 22, 2021.
