Orpheum Student Matinee Series grants provide an opportunity for all students, regardless of resources, to experience theatre. The Orpheum Theatre Group supports arts-integrated learning in the classroom through opportunities for teachers to attend professional development workshops and receive free tickets to attend a Student Matinee Series Field Trip at the Orpheum Theatre or Halloran Centre.

To be eligible for a Student Matinee Series grant, please note that you MUST have attended one of the two free arts integration workshops on Saturday, July 27, 2019, or Thursday, August 1, 2019.

Grant Guidelines

  • Grant submissions are closed and were due on Friday, August 9. Grant applications will be judged by a panel. Grantees will be notified by Friday, August 23.
  • Lesson plans should be emailed to education@orpheum-memphis.com
  • All grant recipients must register for their Student Matinee field trip by Monday, September 30. Note: If recipients do not register by this date, we cannot guarantee
  • your tickets.
  • Grant recipients are required to submit follow up materials and attend an additional 2019-2020 Orpheum Theatre Group arts integration workshop, free of charge.
  • We will do our best to accommodate specific show and ticket requests, but cannot make any guarantees.
